La citadelle, Quartier Turenne in Arras
The citadel, called 'La belle inutile', has the oldest chapel of Arras, the chapel of St. Louis, dated back from the 17th century. The citadel has changed a lot in recent years, some buildings have changed in housing, but the courtyard is still original. You can easily reach the citadel via Porte d'Amiens in the same street not far from the English Military Cemeteries of the First World War. Only the outside of the buildings can be visited. A door opposite the entrance allows you to reach the polygon to walk through the woody roads or to the Wall of the Fusillé.
